Studio Responsibilities

  • Communication-Both between staff and families is key.
  • Use wireless intercom to facilitate pick up and drop off
  • Fill out COVID related documents, keep in binder, and designate location to be kept.
  • Create signage throughout the facility to encourage social distancing and other requirements by the CDC
  • Provide ample cleaning supplies.
  • Provide PPE for staff (masks, gloves for cleaning)
  • Delegate responsibilities to staff.  ALL staff must adhere and contribute to the health wellness and safety of all students.  We must lead by example
  •  If a positive case is reported to the studio, all families/staff will be notified immediately.  Those infected or in close contact with an infected person will need to self-quarantine from the studio for 2 weeks.

Staff Expectations

  • Take temperatures at home before coming to the studio, and record on daily health form.
  • Staff will be asked to limit what they are bringing into the studio and leave large bags and extra clothing in their cars. Utilize lockers for personal items such as wallets, keys, and electronics.
  •  Staff please arrive 15 minutes early to prepare for classes and are expected to stay after to help clean.
  • Upon arriving at the studio, temperature will again be taken and recorded
  • Staff will wash hands on arrival, between classes, and when leaving.
  • All staff will rotate jobs including greeting dancers and escorting them to their classes, walking students for dismissal, and cleaning up between classes. EVERYONE will initial the clipboard when they clean and sanitize a room.
  • Teachers and assistants are held to an extremely high standard of responsibility-parents are literally trusting us with their children’s lives.  That means no large gatherings and most definitely no posting pics of questionable behavior on social media.  Any staff member who does attend a large gathering will need to be in a 2 week home self-quarantine and will not be allowed at the studio.
  • All teachers need to have music and plans prepared (substitute plans) and ready for an assistant to take over in case of sudden illness.

Studio Rules

  • Lined/areas will be taped in all studios for each student to dance in
  • Garage Doors will be left open weather permitting, and common surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, benches etc. will be sanitized in between classes.

  • No cell phones or watches allowed.
  • Water will not be sold at the studio until further notice.
  • NO SNACKS OR FOOD WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE STUDIO teachers or students who are at the studio for more than 3 hours may speak to Miss Amy about special circumstances.

Drop Off/Pick Up Procedures

  • Students for each class will not enter the studio until the previous class has exited and the space has been sanitized.
  • The first week of the month the office will be open for payments.  Please wear a mask and social distance according to CDC rules.  Payments can also be sent in with the dancers.
  • Although most classes are an hour long, teachers will plan on using only 50 minutes with 10 minutes to take off/on shoes and prepare for dismissal and sanitize the space.
  • Classes will continue to be streamed on Zoom for families of children who may be sick, or not comfortable with coming to the studio.

Dancers

  • We will be doing everything in our power to keep our dancers from hugging, touching, etc. but when they do, we will help them wash their hands.
  • Dancers will not be using props for the 2020-2021 season for the time being.
  • Dancers should have all their shoes, water bottles and personal belongings labeled.
  • No toys from home should come to the studio, and if possible, all extra Dancewear (sweatshirts, t-shirts, hoodies) should be kept at home, or if necessary, in each dancer’s bag.  Germs travel on everything!
